From August 19 to 21, 2025, the “G-QuAT Quantum Ideathon 2025” was held at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) G-QuAT in Tsukuba City, co-hosted by Q-STAR (the Consortium for Creation of New Industries through Quantum Technology) and Tohoku University, with support from Keio University.

This ideathon leveraged the global quantum network of the Chicago-Tohoku Quantum Alliance, welcoming domestic and international quantum technology experts as mentors. The aim was to refine business ideas from diverse perspectives and foster the creation of quantum startups.

Approximately 20 participants—students and young researchers with an interest and basic knowledge of quantum computing technology, as well as enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and ideathons—formed teams and worked through discussions and prototyping to develop practical ideas.

From our laboratory, three members participated: Kosei Nakamoto (Master’s 1st year), Kazuyuki Yasuda (Master’s 1st year), and Jesús Urban eja (4th-year undergraduate). Among them, Kazuyuki Yasuda’s team won the Grand Prize, while Jesús Urban eja’s team also received the Excellence Award.得しました。
