An article by Professor Kobayashi has been published in the AIMcS Email Newsletter, July 2025 Issue (No. 7).
The newly released 7th issue of the Professor Email Newsletter features the activities of the Computational Science and Analysis Group, Materials Science Division, Soft Material Research Center.
This research group aims to develop high-performance computing platforms that address scientific and societal challenges in the Society 5.x era, with a particular focus on low-power yet high-performance computer architectures. The group is engaged in advancing and further enhancing key technologies that have supported conventional supercomputers, such as highly parallel and efficient vector processing mechanisms and high-bandwidth memory systems.
In addition, the group is actively conducting research on next-generation high-performance computing platforms that incorporate emerging information processing technologies, including quantum computing. At the same time, the group is also dedicated to the development of next-generation applications that integrate simulation science and data science, particularly in areas such as the design and analysis of soft materials.
We invite readers to explore the full newsletter article to learn more about the group’s research activities and future perspectives.
